Ohio?

Most people think of Ohio as fly-over farmland and they are not entirely wrong. Home to 24 astronauts (the most of any state) many wonder what it is about Ohio that makes people want to leave Earth.

Home to eight presidents, Ohio is the birthplace of aviation (Wright Brothers in Dayton) and quite literally where rubber hit the road (Goodyear in Akron). If you throw in Thomas Edison's birthplace is Milan, Ohio there is arguably no where else in the world that produced people and inventions more impactful in the 20th century. In the realm of cycling, Tour Of the Scioto River Valley (TOSRV) is one of the oldest endurance cycling events, featuring a 100 mile rode from Columbus to Portsmouth with a return journey the next day.

But under the jokes and dusty list of accomplishments, there is still a vibrant community if you know where to look.

Ohio24 aims to be a challenge that highlights the special talent that organically grows  on this rich plot of Earth.
